Co-PI with Francisca Saavedra. “Redesign of BSCI 106” $10,000
The purpose of this grant is to help redesign the Principles of Biology II-BSCI 106 course by incorporating active learning strategies and developing work through collaborative effort of the 106 faculty that all faculty teaching 106 will be able to use.

Launch UM Crowdfunding, College Park Alumni Association, $4025

Leadership team of Terp and Eagle Science Club (TESC) crowdfunding effort to support weekly STEM tutoring at a local Title 1 elementary school.

Biology education class research and active learning; Introductory biology course development/ innovations; peer evaluation methods.  Ecology/biology of freshwater invertebrates, interactions of meiofauna with stream community members (fish), specifically using meiofauna to answer ecological questions in freshwater systems. Stream ecology. Tardigrade ecology/biology.
